Paramount has a modern box site out on Elvis and its called Lights! Camera! Elvis! Collection The movies you will receive is (Blue Hawaii/Easy Near, Easy Go/Fun in Acapulco/G.I. Blues/Girls! Girls! Girls!/King Creole/Roustabout/Paradise Hawaiian Style) . There are 4 thin cases in the box with two DVD’s of Elvis’ movies. If you don’t like the 2 movies in one case deal, then you can consume them individually. As a collector, I esteem to effect my Elvis Movies in Chronological order. So this type of packaging kind of cramps my style. But at the same time this box place is a frosty method to salvage a grand bit of Elvis movies at one time. The only thing that is negative I can say about this box residence which has the same issues as the individual DVD’s you can consume, is the Disc are the same artwork on the 2000 releases. The graphic and font on the disc don’t match with the 2007 cases, but the cases are mighty better and it has a darker, sparkling, and creative ogle to them. I would catch this Box status if they threw in a Bonus disc of cold documentaries or gigantic movie performances. Another reason would be that I would savor to have to this wintry blue suede box residence. Meanwhile, I’ll indulge in my 2007 individual remastered Elvis movies from Paramount. The Artwork of Elvis is bigger and I can go attend to putting them in Chronological order.
This is objective a slimline repackage of movies already available by Paramount on DVD from the King, Elvis Presley. If you don’t absorb them its a handy intention to glean them in one pop…but it could be a bit cheaper when you deem NON of these movies sells for more than $10 recent in its believe case etc…which Is why I am deducting a star. If you can select it up at Costco for $44 its a worthy better deal. Nothing has been done to upgrade the quality of the movie presentations from previous editions.

Clambake starring Elvis Presley,Shelley Fabares,Will Hutchins,Bill Bixby,Gary Merrill,and James Gregory was an fascinating film with a very qualified cast.It’s a take-off on the “Prince and the Pauper” tale of a rich man that swaps identity with a unpleasant man and wants to study if he can be a success without the family wealth.Too poor the quality of the print veteran in making this DVD was abominable.The sharpness is disappointing, the color is extinct, and there are numerous artifacts seen such as scratches and streaks.Also,the soundtrack is mediocre at best,even though a legal HiFi/stereo soundtrack was originally recorded by Elvis for this release.There is no excuse for this hatchet-job,and I recommend you avoid purchasing this title until a reliable misfortune is made to create a high-quality copy of this film.If you are a die-hard Elvis fan you’ll probably prefer it for your library,but the studio did justice to no one with the release of this DVD.Shame on the greedy leeches!
“Clambake” is by far the greatest fraction of cinema seen this side of Memphis. I fancy Elvis! While the costumes are a tad sketchy in this film (this includes Elvis’ suit that looks like a baseball and the transparent cover-up on the silver bikini girl), the songs (music *and* lyrics), are stellar. Scintillating, if you will. I wish I could collect a cd-soundtrack! I have seen this film at least a dozen times. In fact, the first time I saw it, I watched it 3 days in a row, showing it to all my friends, who have since fallen in treasure with the cinematic genius that is “Clambake.”

Well, I have always been into these kinds of movies about the young Generation X. I heard from my teenage sister that this movie is definitely all that. So is it? One of the reasons why I was hesitant on buying this DVD is because there is only one extra and that’s the music video by Sixpence None the Richer. There is no trailer, nothing….
For DVD enthusiasts, this is not cold!
As for the movie, I enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed the dance scene during the prom. Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook did a tall job. Also, you can eye a special tiny cameo of Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, Sarah Michelle Gellar in the cafeteria scene. This movie is a fun movie to seek, but as a DVD…there should have been more included.

The movie was fun to gawk…but the DVD was objective blah! No extras…no safe rating! Hope Miramax remembers that if they want their DVD’s to be bought that rented, they need to add more to their DVD releases.
Zack Siler (Freddie Prinze Jr) is doing comely – he’s honest started his last 8 weeks of high school, he’s class president, he’s dating the most smart girl in high school, and they are a shoo-in for prom king and queen. Everything’s estimable until his girlfriend arrives at school. Taylor Vaughn (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) got a tattoo on spring fracture, and she is now dating Brock Hudson (Matthew Lillard), whose only claim to fame is that he’s an idiot on MTV’s Right World reality TV. Zack is afflict, especially when his friend Dean (Paul Walker) razzes him about it. Zack responds by claiming he can perform any girl in school into the prom queen. That’s the kind of statement that leads to a bet. Dean says he’ll settle a girl for Zack’s challenge, and he chooses Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook) .

Laney is about as ample an outsider as Taylor’s ego. She’s an artist – she has been advised that many artists are more appreciated after they are stupid, so she should raze herself (we all need “friends” like that, correct? ) . She looks after her father and her brother. She’s clumsy. She wears unattractive glasses. She wears no makeup. She wears overalls. She even wears a daggy hat while she works in a fast-food joint. They’ve pulled out all the stops to try to effect the elegant Rachael Leigh Cook recognize tiresome (they failed, but they tried hard!) .
This is the predictable My Blooming Lady type of epic, or so it seems at first, especially when Zack’s sister Mackenzie (Anna Paquin) gets alive to to do a make-over on Laney. But there are some nice limited twists, and they add up to a film that’s different enough to be a satisfactory time. Two of the interviewees mention that this film was deliberately modelled on early John Hughes films; I’m not positive I’d agree with that, but it does prefer the opinion of the romantic comedy / teen comedy genre to which this film belongs.
There are some spellbinding lesser characters in this film. We secure to glimpse Gabrielle Union and Clea DuVall as minor characters, and Sarah Michelle Gellar in a non-speaking role (she’s included in a list headed “They’re all that” in the end-credits) . Tim Matheson, in a single loyal scene as Zack’s father, was haggard-looking, but convincing.
All up, this is a genuine film, and I recommend giving it a try.

A Fistful of Dollars is truly one of the tall classics in the western genre and one that began a newer, better style of western films. First in a string of Clint Eastwood’s “spaghetti” westerns, it has a style and cinematic class all to itself. This is where Clint Eastwood began his style of western hero who doesn’t say noteworthy, but gets his point across through his facial expressions and of course his actions, more specifically with his six shooter at his side.
The premise:
Clint Eastwood plays “the man with no name” other than the name given to him by one of the characters in the film, Joe. In what is now a classic style, he rides into town on a mule and witnesses the brutality of the town bullies. Without saying a word to them, they harass him and he calmly goes into one of the town bars, has some food and listens to what the bar owner has to train him about the town’s dwelling. He casually decides to halt and do something about the entire status, walks out and takes out four of the unpleasant guys. What follows from there is such an outstanding film that is fraught with a sure degree of humor as he deftly plays both sides against his middle and walks away with “A Fistful of Dollars.”

If you’re a fan of the western genre and haven’t seen this classic, I highly suggest you retract this DVD up. Some might be set off by the age of this movie, that is simply not the case though as this movie is timeless. Despite the fact that it was made in Spain, with many European actors and in a foreign language, it’s unbiased pure fun!

Given today’s almighty DVD’s where there is every sort of special/extra feature that a fan can imagine, this one is your meat and potato’s kind. It has the movie, a tall theatrical trailer and a booklet. It is nice and simple, with not too great to salvage wrapped around other than the outstanding movie within. With an international cast of german, italian, spanish and american actors, FISTFUL OF DOLLARS could have been only an ordinary B-movie of the early 60’s. On the contrary, this movie has become the symbol of the revival of a dying Hollywood genre – the western – and will be followed by dozens of imitations until the definitive burial of the genre by Clint Eastwood with the masterpiece UNFORGIVEN.
The villain, played by Gian-Maria Volontè, is so terrific that Sergio Leone will hire this fabulous italian actor to play the role of Indio, the terrible guy of FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE, with the result we all know.
I was a itsy-bitsy bit anxious before playing the DVD ; the unpleasant quality of the image of FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE was quiet on my mind. But, don’t pain – be contented, the copy was in almost perfect area and the transfer well done. Subtitles and a trailer as bonus features.

STRANGE FREQUENCY, originally aired on VH-1, harkens wait on to the days of those astounding anthologies like TALES FROM THE CRYPT, TALES THAT Spy MADNESS, etc., and surprisingly, it works. One of the best anthologies of unique years, Weird FREQUENCY gives us four different tales, all with a musical theme. In DISCO INFERNO, we meet two hard core rock and rollers (Danny Masterson, Erik Palladino), who fracture their car into a telephone pole and contemplate solace in a nightclub. The club turns out to be a disco club, accurate out of the seventies. The manager, Dante (Martin Cummins) is a John Travolta clone, and introduces the boys to some hot chicks. Of course our rockers belittle and berate the disco scene, and obtain out there’s more to the club than meets the view. Wonderfully performed, the ultimate resolution is clear, but it has some nice twists, and lots of humor. You also fetch to hear “Disco Inferno,” “Der Kommissar” and yes, “YMCA.” Tongue in cheek, it’s a winner. In “My Generation,” we meet Eric Roberts, a dinosaur from the past who listens to people like Bob Dylan, The Who and others from that generation. He picks up hitchhikers heading for a rockfest in Seattle, and yes, he bumps them off because of their disrespect for his music. His latest hiker, Christopher Masterson, is unprejudiced like the rest, but he has his bear agenda. Marvelously played out, there are lots of laughs, and an ending that is appropriately fitting. “Room Service” features Duran Duran’s John Taylor as Jimmy Blitz, a has been orderly rock star, who is as unsuitable as they score. Holland Taylor steals the indicate as the housekeeper who manages to procure the room in shape after all of his wild parties. When she reveals to a reporter that she has housekept for such stars as Sinatra, Jagger and Slight Richard, she gets the headline Blitz wanted to restart his career. To glean revenge, he goes to harmful lengths to kill the room, each time finding it immaculately cleaned. When he attacks the lady’s cleaning cart, however, anguish ensues. This is cleverly written and performed, and its ending is remarkably fun. The final anecdote, “More than a Feeling” takes the mood a lot darker, and has a chilling denouement. Judd Nelson is very sterling as talent agent Martin Potter, who has this noteworthy talent for picking out superstars, a fair “gut” reaction that almost renders him incapacitated. He is afraid, though, because every star he has made (except 2) have died. His latest is a female singer (Marla Sokoloff) who has gone multiplatinum, and now decides she’s ready for a rupture. Her brutish manager/boyfriend (Nels Lennarson) goes through the roof and Martin is concerned for her welfare. His other discovery Dean (Adrian Holmes) is working as producer, as well. What happens in the waste is chilling to say the least.
STRANGE FREQUENCY is a very consuming, witty and novel collection. I recommend it.

I purchased this spot for the “Soul Man” segment starring James Marsters and Roger Daltrey. None of the four stories, however is all that enthralling despite having some critical actors taking section. The stories are somewhat predictable, the acting is uneven (Peter Strauss appears to be sleepwalking through his performance although his segment is perhaps the most engaging), and since each of them is rather brief you have shrimp time to be engaged by the characters even when the actors have something to work with. Best rented rather than purchased, I doubt many will want to review these stories more than once.

The first 75% of “Bleach Volume 22″ is fair powerful non-stop action and fighting — our heroes and the supporting cast are assaulted with biting flying eyeballs, falling rocks, ropy tentacles Ichigo and Orihime), giant shadow hands (Rukia and Yumichika) and occasionally The Pizza Cutter From Hell. Even Uryu gets pulled into some combat with Nemu.
But the situation erupts all over the space in the fourth episode, with unusual revelations and a very frightening region twist that leaves the heroes at even more of a disadvantage. There’s aloof action (mainly a bloodied Ichigo bouncing around with his bankai powers), but the memoir suddenly hits a turning point. It’s fine distinct that a whole current arc is opening up after this, and the advantage is with the Bounts.
The biggest flaw? Uryu does something INSANELY contrived at the raze of this round of episodes, which is also uncharacteristically selfish, lifeless and short-sighted. Even more bizarre, all the characters instantly forgive him.
Other than that, several of the characters regain to shine — Ichigo’s determination to discontinuance the Bounts’ master notion is tempered by his disgust for Kariya sacrificing one of his bear. Orihime gets to indicate her skills in battle, and the four visiting Soul Reapers also present their acquire skill and stamina. I first saw this during it’s initial VHS release. The chronicle is of Martin Blank, a professional Los Angeles hit man who is drawn relieve to his rural hometown to both benefit his high school reunion and grasp on a contract to whack a guy.
One of the most well-written scripts of the 90’s, in my notion, doesn’t work without John Cusack being cast as Martin Blank. He sold the role perfectly, and shines throughout the film, alongside a witty, phenomenal supporting cast of Minnie Driver, Jeremy Piven, Dan Akroyd and Joan Cusack.
Often unsuitable as completely morbid, the film takes on not only a tone of humor, but that of vengance and morality. You must spy this film.

The DVD, on the other ruin, [stinks]. Yet another fantastic film thrown out there on DVD with a terrible transfer and a trailer for an extra. The film sounds fanastic though, and scenes such as the Akroyd/Cusack gunfight and the destruction of the mini-mart can be greatly enjoyed with a first-rate surround sound setup.
Grosse Pointe Blank is an new movie. A professional hitman returns to his hometown to “do a job” and, while he’s there, succor his 10 year highschool reunion. John Cusack plays the role well, charming and remarkably likeable, despite his profession. This “dismal comedy” is very clever, and I rate it as one my approved 90’s films.
Too awful the DVD isn’t up to par. It has next to zero extras. But even that could be passable if the portray was superior. First of all, the movie is non-anamorphic. That doesn’t create a incompatibility unless you have a 16×9 television, it’ll notice the same on a regular tv, it’s honest a pet peeve of mine. But, the transfer we did earn is honest pathetic; it looks like a (unpleasant) laser disc transfer. The portray is grainy, and there are some obvious compression artifacts to been seen.
Bottom line: this DVD is worth buying for the movie, no doubt… and since this is the only version available, it’s this or nothing. Unprejudiced don’t quiz a really terrific portray.

Jerry Bruckheimer and the tedious Don Simpson lavishly produced this movie and Michael Bay was fair perfect to do this movie, the movie does co-star Tony Todd (“Candyman) and Michael Biehn. It’s got well-behaved action sequences, terrific performances by the cast, humor, a tiny romance and a gracious site makes this a clear fire crowdpleaser to any action lover out there.
This Blu-Ray makes the movie never looked or sound this broad before! the extras are phenomenal like a movie showcase spotlight that shows scenes that showcase the ultimate in HD pic and sound, Audio commentary, World Premier of the movie, featurettes, interviews, Trailers and TV Spots.

A Notion to a Extinguish is my all time popular Bond movie. I deem Roger Moore gives a substantial performance in his last Bond film. …The pre-title ski scene is blooming, probably my celebrated out of all.
The best thing out of this whole movie is Max Zorin’s main draw of transportation is by blimp, a very arresting aircraft. Very racy when keen in the finale action scene. Also I must say i was very fond of Zorin’s head of security, Scarpine, played by Patrick Baucheau…. One last thing about this movie is that I mediate it has the best music out of all the Bond films especially what they play during action scenes.

Growing up in Scotland this WAS my common James Bond movie. Roger Moore (in his finale as 007) tones down the outright absurdity of its immediate predecessor (Octopussy) but the larger than life characters, impossible escapes and gargantuan set-pieces are tranquil in evidence here. The stand-outs in this caper (as with most 007 adventures) are the villains, Christopher Walken is over-the-top and obviously having a sizable time as Max Zorin as is Grace Jones as May Day. The worst actor award here without interrogate goes to Tanya Roberts. the obligatory Bond girl, who (although incredibly pretty ) impartial does not convince as a geologist with a personal grudge against the wonderfully psychotic Zorin. Action fans will be gay with the action scenes here that range from the a heart pounding opening sequence, a pursuit through Paris, a police jog across San Fransisco to a final duel in which both an airship and the golden gate bridge play a fragment. Judging by the consistently colossal quality and astonishing features (audio commentaries and documentaries) on the previous two batches of DVDs this promises to be THE deifinitive recount of this production. One of the positive highlights of the special features is a previously unseen deleted scene of a policeman going through Bonds personal effects (ie gadgets) at a Paris police plot – Zowie!
UPDATE- It should be notorious that there is a rerelease of this movie coming up on DVD which will feature a newly recorded scene specific audio commentary by Bond actor Roger Moore. So, it may well be worth holding off on a bewitch until these Ultimate Editions are released towards the extinguish of 2006.

It is gratifying to sight her life explored on a dvd that looks at her skills as an actress, shows the shocked life she led, and the discusses the destroy of her life and the disease that stole her mind and memories. The dvd talks to people she knew, such as Ann Miller, as well as the likes of Nicole Kidman, who was influenced by her work. Princess Yasmin Kahn also speaks about her mother as we follow her life as a dancing partner with her father, through her years as Columbia Pictures’ biggest star to her later years when she yearned to be known more as an actress and less as a star. This site contains two dvds, one being a rarer seen movie Rita starred in called, “Danger in Texas”. If you want to look really classic Rita, however, collect her films, “Blood and Sand”, “The Lady from Shanghai” and “Gilda”, her most celebrated role. This is an nice addition to any Hayworth fan’s collection. I hope that this dvd will introduce the blooming Rita to a newer generation of fans.

I do not agree at all with the reviewer who said that this program was poorly written and fast and haphazardly thrown together. On the contrary, there is home video footage of Rita and her family, and interviews with a few of those who worked with her. There are even edited/deleted interview takes; Juanita Moore’s recollection of how some of Rita’s costars and crew saw her as impartial “Mexican” is most entertaining.
