Although not as excellent as the modern Polie movie, Baby Bot Stagger carries over the trustworthy neat fun. My daughter does not find to discover distinguished television or movies because most are so irascible. However, the Polies are fun, upbeat, sure, overcome challenges with quandary solving, they work together with family and friends, and there is no violence or shouting. I don’t mind that my puny one is ‘addicted’ to the Polie family movies!

Also, we bought the VHS version this time, but wish we’d gone with the DVD. The DVD does a great better job of displaying the wonderful graphics in the film.

My two year mature is a spacious fan of Rolie Polie Olie and I must say that this movie was a lot better then The Large Defender of Fun movie. This is a more up beat, cheerful movie with some very cute songs and a very cute anecdote line. It’s a very retro fresh age scheme in cartoons with its’ vivid colors and amazing characters! This is a very gripping explain. The only thing awful I have to say is that these cartoons are usually around ten to fifteen minutes in length and this is a lot longer for a child to sit through and may come by bored. But for the older kids it would be ravishing.

THE INVISIBLE MAN- Claude Rains is awesome as the man whose invisibility serum slowly rots his brain. Hunted by police, he sets out to cure himself and net revenge on the man who betrayed him. Superior stuff! Check out the running pair of pants scene! THE INVISIBLE MAN RETURNS- has Vincent Mark as a man on death row, framed for a destroy he did not commit. He gets some abet in the produce of the invisibilty serum and simply walks out of prison! Can he explain his innocense and derive the actual killer before te serum drives him excited? Sizable sequel! THE INVISIBLE WOMAN- This one is strictly for laughs. A scientist (John Barrymore) invents an invisibility machine with his assistant (Margaret “Inferior Witch Of The West” Hamilton) . A young woman volunteers to be turned invisible and the slapstick begins. A gang of thugs wants the machine for clear criminal reasons. The gang even includes a stooge (Shemp Howard)! Worth a eye. THE INVISIBLE AGENT- Jon Hall is the title character, dropped slack enemy lines during WW II. Can he foil the spoiled plans of the nazis? Sir Cedrick Hardwicke is head of the gestapo and Peter Lorre is an execrable japanese glance. Not abominable at all! INVISIBLE MAN’S REVENGE- Jon Hall is abet as the invisible man. This time out, cheated and betrayed by obsolete “friends”, he seeks vengeance at all cost. He encounters a scientist (John Carradine) who has been turning animals invisible with his secret serum, and you can guess the result! Very wonderful! This collection is yet another goldmine from universal’s creaky vaults! Add it to your monster list…

Between directing the current “Frankenstein” in 1931 and his masterpiece “Bride of Frankenstein” in 1935, James Whale attach out a miniature gem called “The Invisible Man” in 1933. In some ways I rate “The Invisible Man” above “Frankenstein.” For one thing “The Invisible Man” has a gargantuan musical glean which heightens the drama in many scenes and helps to accelerate the traipse of the film. The current “Frankenstein” had no musical catch (peculiar one was never added for re-release as it would have improved an already sizable film tremendously) as musical scores weren’t commonplace until a few years later. I also consider that Whale had developed greatly as a director between 1931 and 1933. “Frankenstein” has many scenes that seem to be stagey and lack the finesse of Whale’s later films.

In many ways “The Invisible Man” is Universal’s most horrific dismay film of the 1930s. Dracula was a vampire who killed to hold his contain existence, Frankenstein’s Monster was a misunderstood and sympathetic creature who killed out of fright or exasperate, while The Invisible Man is a man driven indignant by an illicit drug who kills out of shear pleasure. He commits mass kill during the film on a scale powerful greater than any other Universal portray. We also have to remember he is at his core a man not a monster.

Claude Rains gives a glorious performance, in his US film debut, in the title role. Rains, who’s face was only seen on conceal briefly at the demolish of the film, had a deep distinctive allege which was perfect for a role that was more about deliver than body. This role was the launch of a long and very successful film career for Rains who played costarring and supporting roles in classic films from the 1930s through the 1960s.

Also in the cast are Henry Travers, Gloria Stuart and Una O’Connor. Travers was a talented character actor who may be most recognized to film fans as Clarence the inept angel in the holiday classic “It’s A Astounding Life.” Stuart, who as a starlet in the 30s appeared in dozens of films before retiring from the camouflage, had a career resurrection in novel years when she was cast as “broken-down Rose” in the mega-hit “Mountainous.” O’Connor, supplying droll relief as a busybody inn keeper’s wife, played numerous supporting roles in Hollywood’s golden age including a the role of Minnie in Whale’s “Bride of Frankenstein.”

Of course, by 21st century standards “The Invisible Man” is antiquated. The special effects, undoubtedly cutting edge for their time, are not very impressive in the age of computer technology. Having said that, I must admit this film is smooth intriguing and spellbinding to see. The performances, especially Claude Rains, unexcited believe up and the direction by Whale remains state on. If you sit benefit and imagine yourself as a moviegoer in the 1930s, having never seen special effects like this before, it’s easy to examine how radiant this film must have been to audiences more than 70 years ago.

The $20 notice notice is well worth it unprejudiced to beget “The Invisible Man” but in this Legacy Collection you also receive ALL of the Universal “Invisible” films (minus “Abbot & Costello Meet The Invisible Man”) . It could be argued that “The Invisible Man Returns” and “The Invisible Man’s Revenge” are the only accurate sequels as they follow the adventures of Jack Griffin’s (Claude Rains’ character in the novel) brother. “… Returns” is famous by Vincent Brand in the title role. These two films are excellent B-movie efforts by Universal and fraction of the second anxiety cycle of the 1940s. “The Invisible Woman” is more comedy than terror and features John Barrymore in the twilight of his career. “The Invisible Agent” was a wartime adventure featuring Universal’s top action hero of the 40s, Jon Hall, using invisibility to fight Nazis.

Having added The Invisible Man, The Mummy and The Creature to its series of Legacy Collections, I sincerely hope Universal continues with the balance of its fright titles of the 30s and 40s. I hope to peruse a release of the films that teamed Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi (“The Gloomy Cat,” “The Raven,” “The Invisible Ray,” and “Dusky Friday”), a release of the Inner Sanctum series starring Lon Chaney and a region with all the one-off panic films (“Murders in the Rue Morgue,” the 1943 “Phantom of the Opera,” “Man-Made Monster,” “The Excited Ghoul,” etc.) of Universal’s Golden Age.

THIS ISLAND EARTH is a 1950s science-fiction pulp magazine camouflage brought to life: clunky spacecraft, battling planets, unfriendly aliens, and screaming heroines in hurt. The special effects are 1955 state-of-the-art, and they aloof beget up very well today, for unlike ultra-realistic computer generated graphics they have a fantasy feel that is very, very entertaining–a sort of “Wizard of Oz goes sci-fi” gawk that is very absorbing to the gape.

As already eminent, the chronicle concerns several of earth’s best minds who are kidnapped by aliens and ordered to accomplish an endless source of energy for a dying planet. The script is laced with 1950s sexism–one line, for example, is “Don’t divulge me that as woman you’re not interesting? “–but this is actually less offensive than it is rather comical, in keeping with the magazine veil sensibility that pervades the portion. The cast plays with substantial sincerity: Rex Reason is appropriately dauntless, Faith Domergue screams the house down, and the aliens all have high foreheads–excepting, of course, that really nefarious looking one with claws for hands!

Some humorless-type science-fiction fans won’t relish it, and if you’re not the type to obtain a kick from period visuals you might want to give this one miss. But for pure 1950s matinee fun, you can’t do better than THIS ISLAND EARTH.

Here’s an bewitching bit of trivia (okay, maybe not so grand racy, but worth noting, at least) …seems the film This Island Earth (1955) was one of the first major science fiction features filmed in Technicolor, a process that actually had been around, in various states, since the early twentieth century. Directed by Joseph M. Newman (The Gunfight at Dodge City, Tarzan, the Ape Man), the film stars Rex Reason (The Creature Walks Among Us), Faith Domergue (It Came from Beneath the Sea, Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet), and Jeff Morrow (Kronos, The Giant Claw) . Also appearing is Lance Fuller (The She-Creature), Robert Nichols (Giant), and Russell Johnson (Attack of the Crab Monsters), probably best known as `The Professor’, from the mid 1960s series “Gilligan’s Island”.

As the film begins we meet a scientist named Dr. Cal Meacham (Reason), preparing to leave Washington D.C. after attending a conference on atomic energy. Anyway, Cal borrows a jet to flee home (must be nice), and upon arriving, his plane conks out due to some showboating (nice play, Shakespeare), but Cal is saved as a mysterious force takes control and lands the vehicle safely, worthy to the amazement of Cal and his dopey assistant named Joe (Nichols), who I believe is supposed to provide a comedic element for the film, failing miserably I might add. But wait, there’s more…shortly after Cal’s return he receives a catalog featuring advanced electronic components related to assembling something called an `interocitor’, which turns out of be a worship, schmancy triangular television with some dazzling fabulous and far out capabilities (actually, it looks a bit like the drive-thru order box at a speedy food restaurant, but that’s neither here nor there) . Once constructed, Cal receives a message from a melon headed, white haired nerdlinger type named Mr. Exeter (Morrow), who invites Cal to join a mysterious brain trust whose purpose appears to be development of unusual forms of atomic energy. His curiosity piqued, Cal hops a plane (one which he isn’t piloting, thankfully), and ends up in a remote spot somewhere in Georgia where he hooks up with Exeter (apparently he’s dropped the `Mr’ routine), Dr. Ruth Adams (Domergue), another scientist named Steve Carlson (Johnson), among others…eventually Cal learns Exeter is not of this Earth (well duh) and his motives for assembling Team Brainiac not as altruistic as originally stated, which leads to Cal and Ruth trying to rush, only to accumulate beamed aboard Exeter’s spacecraft (open the probings), complete with swishy doors, and transported to Exeter’s home planet called Metaluna (once you near Neptune, hang a true and go about three billion miles, behold for the Stuckeys and you’re there) . As far as what happens next you’ll fair have to glimpse the film, but I will fragment this, there’s aliens, an objective to goodness flying saucer, ookie mutants with mountainous brains and oversized claws with a penchant for pinching, killer remote-controlled meteors, some dude named The Monitor (sound ominous, doesn’t it? ), matte paintings of incredible alien landscapes, and so on…

I really liked this film a lot…positive, the acting leaves something to be desired (Rex Reason probably could have been replaced with a tree and few would have noticed), but there appeared to be a sincere sense of ambition towards the presentation of the material. The main strength of this film is the special effects, which, in my idea, reach off handsome well. Certainly compared to today’s standards they’ll seem hokey, but I’m betting when the film was originally released audiences were amazed and I’ll doubt few left the theater feeling like they didn’t pick up their money’s worth. The bits I view really unusual were how some of these so called scientists, at least the ones who didn’t have their minds `toyed’ with, at the Georgia facility seemed so lifeless on the uptake with regards to figuring out their host was an alien (I would have belief the ginormous cranium a monotonous giveaway) . And then once they did figure it out, no one seemed that surprised or terrorized. Honestly, had it been me being abducted and taken a bazillion miles into outer station, ending up on some alien planet I would have been seriously freaking out, but neither Cal nor Ruth really seemed all that upset. Perhaps scientists are made of sturdier stuff than us non-brainy types, of which I assume myself one. As far as the characters there was some promising development early on, but it eventually musty as those introduced fell into homogenous roles (Reason the rugged, masculine hero type, Domergue the fine screaming mimi in trouble, etc.) . Morrow’s character of Exeter did seem to have the most potential, in terms of his altering clear plans based on his developing an thought of humans after spending time with them, but this sort of petered out a bit, taking a backseat to the visual aspects expose in the film, which is a fairly accepted pitfall in the genre, especially in today’s films, in terms of flashy effects superseding the more enormous elements of the anecdote. All in all you can certainly accumulate plenty of fault with this feature, but I’d suggest viewing the film with a slightly less primary gape, as not to miss all the fun.

The narrate, presented in fullscreen (1.33:1), does sight really first-rate, despite areas that note some minor signs of age (there weren’t any frames missing, but there was some specking here and there) . As far as the Dolby Digital 2.0 mono audio, I concept it came through very well and had no complaints. There’s not worthy in the draw of extras except for an new theatrical trailer and subtitles in English, Spanish, and French. I was a microscopic surprised at the lack of an audio commentary, especially since I’ve always considered this staple film in the classic science fiction genre, maybe not to the extent of those like The Day the Earth Stood Aloof (1951), The Thing from Another World (1951), or Forbidden Planet (1956), but one detached superior of attention.

Incidentally, This Island Earth was given the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment, as it was the flick featured when the present made the leap to the large cover assist in 1996.

At last, the “Sid Pink Trilogy” is available on DVD! Sid got his effect punched when his “Furious Red Planet” did well at the Saturday-matinee box office, and went on to protest the (in) famed “Reptilicus”. (View my reviews of THOSE two, also here on Amazon.) Enamored with the Danish locations of that film narrative, Pink decided his next film, “Travel to the 7th Planet”, would be made there, too. The entire film was shot on a 22 by 44 foot soundstage (except for the stock footage and “special effects”) for a total cost of $75,000 – and $25,000 of that went to Agar and the female lead, Gretta Thyssen! As a result, we rep a spaceship with a wood-plank floor, a few scrap ejection seats, and LOTS of primary-color displays. Pink picked Uranus as the destination because he believed that it was unknown enough that he could depict ANY sort of environment and be able to gather away with it. The situation owes a lot to Ray Bradbury’s short sage “Mars is Heaven!”, wherein the crew of a ship landing on Mars is greeted by family and relatives in an feeble front-porch-and-lemonade village. In “Run”, the crew meets up with assorted Danish femme fatales in a thatched-roofs-and-cocoa Danish village, all manifestations of a giant cave-dwelling brain intent on hitching a hotfoot abet to Earth with the ship. Fans of “Reptilicus” will look most of the rest of the cast, all of whom needed to have their voices dubbed because of their Danish accents. Capable print, outstanding rendering of the hallucinatory color schemes, and gigantic fun all around.

“Invisible Invaders” was entirely unusual to me, and if you excised the stock footage, the film would be about 20 minutes long. Although willowy John Carradine gets top billing and a prominent feature on the conceal, he’s on-screen for less than 2 minutes. After being killed in an explosion at an atomic-weapons plant, invisible aliens who have been living on the moon for 20,000 years select over his body (as if there would be anything left to choose over.) Hey, *I* didn’t write it, OK? These “invisible invaders” stride around looking for corpses to inhabit so that they can carry out unsuitable deeds of sabotage, since they don’t actually have any weapons of their absorb. It’s up to John Agar (wearing an ill-fitting flight suit and a flight cap seventeen sizes too cramped for him) and co-star Philip Tonge to collect a device to defeat these poseurs from their underground bunker (actually the same cave in Bronson Canyon that “Robot Monster” was filmed in!) Again, a really nice, super print (except for the stock footage, which varies wildly in quality) and a painless procedure to pass an hour. Recommended for all you fans of John Agar *and* the immortal Sid Pink.

Just one demand – why is there an empty pair of shoes on the mask of the DVD case?

A two-for-one send up of humorous b-movies. Alien invaders and situation exploration get up the themes of these tales of exploration and caution.

Invisible Invaders si about some aliens who have made themselves and their stuff invisible. Atomic testing on Earth has pushed them to wanting to prefer over the Earth from their nearby despicable on the moon. They will employ the bodies of the dreary to further their plans. Either Earth must surrender or they will raze all humans. John Carradine is trustworthy as an curious corpse. Although he is only on cloak for a short time, his pronounce is frail for most of the alien communications. A puny group in a scientific bunker must secure a diagram to conclude the invaders before all humans are killed.

Seventh Planet has a UN exploration team in 2001 traveling to Uranus to search for life. None has been found on the nearer planets. When the approach they gain themselves in a miniature place of German forest complete with village and heavenly women. But the genuine answers lie on the exact surface of the planet. It was droll to inspect then traipsing though a forest and claim they quiet had not found any life (talk about not seeing the forest for the trees) . The pseudo Earth history is comical at this time and sexism is very strong. But it unruffled has its moments with monsters, special effects, and outrageously colorful color added because its in color (I cherish the spider with mustard and ketchup for blood) .

B-movie fans should rejoice to accept two movies for a reasonable sign. The only disadvantage of this DVD is that each film is on a different side so you can’t ogle them straight through. But it does mean that the describe quality is very proper. The only special features are subtitles and the novel trailers.

Let’s salvage one thing straight. VIGILANTE is not the type of movie that will satisfy those who loathe violent genre films.

It is, however, the kind of characterize that will thrill any fan of DEATH WISH, ROLLING Drawl, THE EXTERMINATOR or any other ’70s / early ’80s revenge flick that has vigilantism as its main theme.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Vigilante! Click Here

The acting in VIGILANTE is of a high quality, sterling even for an exploitation film. In particular, Robert Forster shines as an everyday working Joe driven to the brink by concern and circumstance. Fred Williamson was never better (and is unlikely to be), while Joe Spinnell steals your attention in his two scenes.

Anchor Bay’s DVD release of the film is nothing short of miraculous. The movie has been lovingly restored via George Lucas’ THX process and the widescreen presentation looks salubrious. But the jewel in the crown is the audio commentary. Director William Lustig and the three actors have a whale of a time recounting the film’s shoot, and so does the listener.

In the early 80’s, there was a sprout of revenge/vigilante films released in America and Italy. I mean we had Death Wish 2, The Exterminator, Rolling Yelp and great worthy more. Vigilante actually comes out being one of the better of the group. We bag the same basic tale. A man gets his son murdered and his wife gash up by thugs so he sets out for a “Death Wish” to acquire them down. Like all the other revenge epics at the time, this is splendid ample trashy entertainment. We accept gross violence and some big action, plus a large cheesy performance by Fred Williamson (should we put a question to anything different? ) . If you like Death Wish style films, then you must bear this fraction of low-budget american entertainment. The DVD release of Vigilante is also huge. First of all we rep the unrated/uncut version of the classic. On top of that we glean a capable commentary with the director and almost the entire cast. Also thrown on is every trailer for the film throughout the world, even trailers that represent this film under different titles. Steady Awsome! A mountainous DVD package!

Just wanted to leave a kindly review for those that are trying to settle whether they should purchase the original 15th edition if they already contain the 10th. Well, the transfer is worthy noteworthy better than the abysmal one that was establish on the 10th. The 10th anniversary edition transfer was a very plain one at best, a step down from the bare bones dvd that was first released by Live when they were unruffled around. The blacks in the Dogs’ suits were more unlit grey and the overall peek was weak. I was never definite if this was a creative choice or that it was simply screwed up. There was plenty of online debate when the disc came out as to the worth of it. This fresh transfer remedies all of that, the characterize is anamorphic, with rich colors, making the film glimpse exactly like what I saw when I veteran to peep it in the 90s. The 10th also, for some inexplicable reason, dropped a line of Mr. White’s dialogue (“I deem he’s unprejudiced passed out”) but it is thankfully restored here. So if you want the most solid transfer of Reservoir Dogs ever on DVD, this is your prefer.

The extras, unfortunately, pale in comparison to the 10th, and this is why you’ll probably want to hold the 10th around if you’re a filmmaking fan. The 10th edition has a documentary interviewing most of the key players in the film as well as some priceless footage from Tarantino’s filmmaking lab workshops at Sundance where he (poorly) played Mr. White(!) These are all missing on the current 15th disc, but the unique 15th disc carries over “Reservoir Dolls,” the torture scene played out by Reservoir Dogs action figures. The 15th also has retrospective commentaries by some of the cast and crew, 2 movie critics, and a film historian all on separate tracks while watching the movie. Rather challenging too. There are a couple of retrospective documentaries discussing the film’s impact on the cinema world. There are also deleted scenes carried over from the 10th, but other than that, mostly fodder to obtain you mad about Reservoir Dogs, including a short featurette about the fresh video game.

So, I convey I would recommend this double dip if you’re a hard-core fan of the film, especially with the ample transfer. You can come by it at Circuit City for $12.99 this week which is an fine notice for what you find, but I would enjoy on to the 10th edition for the filmmaking extras which were not carried over. Oh, and if you’re into packaging, this is the best packaging I’ve ever seen. An aluminum gasoline can where the top comes off and the discs are inside in a colossal matchbook (I gain the matchbook is small edition) . Sick and intelligent.

Acting that will blow you away and characters that disgust you even though you’re drawn to liking what minute likeable portion of them remains.

Depraved criminals that are racist, sadistic and keenly knowing are somehow very human and compassionate on one hand and disturbingly spoiled on the other.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Reservoir Dogs! Click Here

This movie is not for those with aged stomachs. Although the psychological element of terror is grand stronger than anything you actually study in this film, there are a couple of gory scenes that will scar your memory forever once you gaze them… the type of deliberate, up discontinuance & personal cruelty to another human being that surpasses the desensitizing we’ve been through by watching other violent scenes on tv and movies. The isolation of the movie taking location almost entirely in one room makes even the most tame scenes un-nerving and uncomfortably intense.

Tim Roth’s performance is definitely the most piercing. Michael Madsen, Harvey Keitel, Chris Penn and the rest of the ensemble cast are also riveting.

You will never listen to the song “Stuck in the Middle With You” by Stealers Wheel the same method again. A song I once really liked peaceful gives me the willies each time I hear it.

Ronnie is a mall cop with colossal dreams: he wants to be a cop. Partly to carry a gun, partly so people will finally respect him. When a flasher appears on his turf, it’s war–especially when one of the victims is Brandi, the makeup-counter girl whom Ronnie has a crush on. But when a true detective intrudes in the case, Ronnie decides to engage matters in his acquire hands–to salvage respect, to obtain the case, and to net the girl.

OBSERVE AND Describe is perhaps the darkest comedy in ages. Seth Rogen does not play Ronnie as a beloved character, as many a lesser actor would; in Rogen’s hands, Ronnie is a borderline-sociopath, a bipolar loser who is as hilariously smooth as he is perilous. Anna Farris, as Brandi, is a comedic delight as always; she throws her self-esteem to the wind in order to wring the last itsy-bitsy laugh from every scene. Michael Pena, as Ronnie’s sidekick, is a scene-stealer. However, it’s Ray Liotta who walks away with the only character to possess his occupy against Ronnie; as Detective Harrison, Liotta is tough and unforgiving, and the climax between the two ends the only design it could (though you’ll be holding your breath the whole method) .

In other words, Jody Hill’s Gape AND Portray is the darkest of black comedies, often bordering on a (non-supernatural) anxiety movie; the comparisons it’s garnered to TAXI DRIVER are well-founded, and often-times you don’t know whether to wince or laugh. Hill doesn’t impartial consume things too far; he takes them to limits no one else would dare to. Notice AND Describe is not a comedy for the squeamish, but it’s certainly a film for those of us who don’t mind a few chills with our comical thrills.

Not to say that writer/director Jody Hill is the novel Scorscese (he’s not), but I was constantly reminded of Scorscese’s early 80s disturbo-comedy “King of Comedy” when watching this. Whereas Scorscese uses stark realism, though, Hill uses the conventions and expectations of new comedy to nail us. This could have easily been another low and crude comedy along the lines of Superbad or Pineapple Impart. Those (hell, most) comedies made today feature borderline-sociopathic, emotionally-retarded, and hopelessly immature males. Hill simply tips his characters over the edge. There is no denying that Ronnie (Seth Rogan) is a full-blown psychopath. What’s surprising is how halt this character is to every other character Seth Rogan has ever played!

Your reaction to this film will be greatly effected by your expectations. If you request an extremely dismal, yet often laughable, film instead of yet another “Superbad” or, god forbid, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop”, you should not be disappointed in the least.

First off, the production value of this DVD is significantly higher than the last disc. There are no blips in the mastering like we saw in the volume 4 disc (a sync stutter in volume 4’s first episode crashes my x-box’s DVD player) . Also of designate is the bulking up of extras (one original trailer, a brief music video, and character profiles) . These are welcome additions to what has been glowing sparse offerings in prior discs. The menus scrutinize slicker and overall are more creatively done.

As for the true episodes, a more-than-usual amount of battle animation is reused, especially with the second episode really being a “clip-isode”. Actually, there really isn’t any unusual combat until the middle of the fourth episode in the status. The bulk of the time is spent on Shin’s character development, and the girls fighting over Athrun’s attention (which had more than a couple hilarious moments) .

Overall, this DVD is a valuable improvement over volume 4, although volume 1 is smooth easily my accepted (can they top the Armory 1 battle? ) Volume 5 won’t satisfy any cravings for serious Gundam combat, but there is enough going on off the battle field to preserve Gundam fans elated.

excellent series so far. the only predicament i had with it was that the second episode was impartial a recap of what happened before..

This is a model DVD release for a rock band. No corners seem to have been chop! The concert footage itself is very satisfactory, the extras are satisfactory, and there’s a lot of care and attention paid to every last detail of the packaging. This probably isn’t the best concert in Queen’s history, but it’s probably the best filmed Queen concert, and that’s more than excellent enough for me. Everything you loved, or hated, or loved to despise about the band is preserved in exceptional detail. It’s almost like being there. I grasp this DVD to other filmed Queen concerts, to be unprejudiced. Queen were not only profitable rockers but also incredible showmen, and Freddie and Brian’s showmanship is nothing but inspiring. This is one of my approved concert DVDs, and is well worth a recall instead of the collections of Queen lip-synched videos also available on the market.

By 1986, Queen was at their absolute peak. They had placed themselves up there with the greats. So during their Magic Tour, they decided to professionally film their Wembley Stadium concert. They played two nights at Wembley, July 11-12 1986, and each night they packed in 70,000 plus. Since it rained the first night, the Wembley Concert DVD is from the sunny, July 12th.

28. God Assign The Queen

The first thing to point out is that Seven Seas Of Rhye is only 1 miniature, 18 seconds long here. In other words, it’s not the complete song. That’s okay though, since the Rest of the DVD is a gem. Brain’s guitar solo ends up at more than 9 minutes, and in the middle of the concert, Queen throws in covers of ragged songs. Ending out the DVD is We Will Rock You, followed by Friends Will Be Friends. First, it’s only 2 minutes of Friends Will Be Friends, but surprisingly second, it’s not the We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions combo. That’s okay, I never mind a exiguous change once and a while.

Overall, the concert is pleasant. It contains many colossal Queen songs, and other large non-Queen songs. You have songs on here like One Vision, Another On Bites The Dust, Now I’m Here, Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio GA GA, We Will Rock You, and We Are The Champions impartial to name a few. The stage is immense, and Freddie Mercury manages to shroud every square hump of it. Every moment, he’s somewhere different.

The bonus features are as followed:

1. Fresh Interviews with Brian May and Roger Taylor

2. Multi Angle Feature

3. Rehearsal and Friday (July 11) Concert excerpts

4. Backstage Documentary

While watching the bonus features, you’ll learn more about the Wembley concerts and how rainy it was at the Friday concert. You’ll also learn about the camera positions and peek Queen in multi angle. For four songs (One Vision, Under Pressure, Now I’m Here, and We Are The Champions) you can buy one band member and eye him for the entire song. The Queen Live At Wembley bonus disc is better that most bonus discs are.

In the kill, you accept a astounding Queen concert and an respectable bonus disc, along with a photo booklet for a list trace of 20 dollars, but the sale trace is usually under 15 dollars. It’s a gargantuan DVD spot and I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t yet acquire it.

If you like Queen Live At Wembley, then you will also relish the Live Killers CDs, The Platinum Collection, and Queen On Fire: Live At The Bowl.
